I believe there are people that accompany you throughout your life. They may not always be a part of your life, there might be long stretches that you don’t see or talk to them, sometimes even years, but they are someone who stays with you, a part of your history and every time your paths cross again, it feels like nothing has changed, almost like coming home, even if you haven’t seen or talked to them in a decade or longer. They are also the people you know you could call anytime and they’d pick up the phone and be there for you. They are very rare and need to be cherished whenever you meet them again. They are your true friends. They are your lifelong friends. They will come into and move out of your life for as long as the two of you live but you never completely lose them because your lives are interconnected in that very special and unique way.
