It’s a calling not a job

I don’t get it.

As a doctor you have to take the Hippocratic oath. Which says the following in a part of it:

“I will apply, for the benefit of the sick, all measures which are required, avoiding those twin traps of overtreatment and therapeutic nihilism.

I will remember that there is art to medicine as well as science, and that warmth, sympathy, and understanding may outweigh the surgeon’s knife or the chemist’s drug….

…Most especially must I tread with care in matters of life and death. If it is given me to save a life, all thanks. But it may also be within my power to take a life; this awesome responsibility must be faced with great humbleness and awareness of my own frailty. Above all, I must not play at God.”

So how is it that there are doctors refusing to treat people who chose to not take an experimental vaccine? How is it that hospitals and the doctors within them think it okay to refuse lifesaving treatment for a child because the father isn’t vaccinated?

What is wrong with the world, with people? How can someone who chose an occupation to help and heal people just stand there and refuse to help a child? To save a child’s life. How can anyone be morally okay with this and especially doctors? How do they sleep at night?

I don’t get it. I just don’t understand any of this. How people can be do cold and unfeeling.
