It’s interesting how random meetings with strangers can lead to some really great conversations. It might just be me, because I tend to just say what I think and answer questions honestly. I am who I am, take it or leave it.
I love hearing other people’s thoughts on matters of the world and try to see and understand things from a different point of view.
But honestly, the things I love the most is when you meet someone for the first time and you can just talk to them about random stuff and what is going on in the world and never realize how long you’ve talked with each other.
The most amusing aspect of this is, the last couple of years the times I had situations like this was whenever I went to a consultation, different insurance companies and on financial matters at my bank. I usually spend more time talking with my consultants about whatever than the matter at hand and the thing they’re supposed to sell me and I always end up getting a great deal in the end.
This is one of the reasons why I never turn down an offer for a free consultation, I might have an interesting conversation or at the very least simply learn more about a subject I’m not that familiar with. It’s a great way to expand and deepen your knowledge on whatever the consultation is about.
I’d say never turn down an offer like that but only if you don’t feel obligated to buy everything they’re trying to sell you and have the tendency to sign things without reading them through and taking the time to think about it and compare it.
